Color and texture encircle the surfaces of my artworks. Color is like candy to my soul. Tactile textures lure my eyes and senses. I am drawn to rich, thick swirling textures.  Repeated textures traveling over canvas, fused glass or clay surfaces are so visually seductive.

The vibrant images, colors and style of my work incorporate elements of expressionism, surrealism and art deco styles with a symbolic psychology. Bright colors sink into carvings, low reliefs are stamped into designs, and words and lettering cover the surfaces. The process and expression of my inner pictures and emotions are my main focus.

My hands have been in the mud, paint and paper mache paste since I was a child. Inventive by nature my artwork can be functional and or decorative.  From playful and whimsical to psychological reflections my work personifies what comes from my heart. It is my hope that the viewer feels invited to wonder, chuckle silently or laugh out loud and be taken away, even if it is just for one moment.
